What it means for revenue leaders

The lowest performers are the most confident in their own ability. Asking an underperformer what theyneed to improve returns the least reliable answer available they self-report the highest raw scores ofany band.
This has a direct operational consequence for performance improvement plans. A PIP built around repself-identified development areas starts from the input least correlated with reality.

How this was measured

Self and manager scores compared across six standardised quota attainment bands at the time of measurement. 1–7 scale. Gap = self score minus manager score.
